Coffee Hour 10/1 - Who Killed Che?

Saturday, October 1st
10:00 - 11:45 am
La Conexión de las Américas
3019 Minnehaha Ave, Suite 20
Minneapolis, MN 55406

Che Guevera was an Argentinian-born doctor who after experiencing the poverty of the people he was helping was inspired to become a revolutionary leader and a major leader in the Cuban Revolution. At our first Coffee Hour of the season Michael Steven Smith will speak about his just-published book, Who Killed Che?, that includes new evidence implicating the CIA in his death. Smith and his co-author Michael Ratner, are both civil rights lawyers associated with the Center for Constitutional Rights. The book has an introduction by Ricardo Alarcón, President of the Cuban National Assembly.

“Ratner and Smith cut through the lies and distortions to provide a riveting and thoroughly documented history of the murder of Che Guevara. In an era when ‘targeted assassinations’ and ‘capture and kill operations’ have become routine, and are routinely glorified by the mainstream U.S. press, their examination of the U.S. role in Che Guevara’s death could not be more timely.” —Amy Goodman, host and executive producer, Democracy Now!

You can buy a signed copy of the book at the Coffee Hour or go online to www.orbooks.com. For more information or for other speaking engagements go to the www.minnesotacubacommittee.org website!
