La Conexion de las Americas is pleased to present Suite Habana, the first in a series of 8 Latin American films

Starting on August 11 La Conexion is going to be presenting a series of 8 films all dealing with Latin America, and various aspects of culture, issues in the past, current issues, and just regular folks and their lives.
The first film to be shown is director Fernando Perez’s Suite Habana, a masterpiece of Cuban cinema completely without narration. The film is well crafted homage to the battered but resilient people of this beautiful battered but resilient island country. The movie is in Spanish and has English subtitles.
Dawn breaks over the beautiful seaside city of Havana and the film follows the lives of ten ordinary Cubans with only sounds and images accompanied by music. The film is Rated G.
