Immigration Forum / Foro de Inmigracion
We would like to invite you to be part of the 2nd Annual Immigration Forum at Andersen United Community School on Saturday, April 9 from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The forum is designed to provide a safe space for conversation and learning around issues of immigration and its effects on our kids, families and communities.
The day will include two Keynote speeches by John Keller of the Immigration Law Center and State Representative Carlos Mariani, presentations, informational tables, and private 15-minute sessions with immigration lawyers.
Presentations will include:
- Education and the DREAM Act
- Deportation and Community Planning
- Impacts on Mental Health and Families
- Justice at Work
- Municipal ID Campaign
- The U.S.’s Role in Migration Childcare provided. In Spanish and English.
When: Saturday, April 9, 11:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Where: Andersen United Community School, 1100 Andersen Lane, Minneapolis MN 55407 (at the intersection of 11th Ave and 27th St).
