In the last couple of years, the Anti –Immigrant laws like SB1070 in Arizona have been passed in numerous states around the U.S.A, terrorizing our communities and leaving thousand of undocumented immigrants facing deportation. Mirac has decided to launch the “ No More Deportations” campaign with the goal of stopping programs like CAP (Criminal Alien Program), a program under ICE that is responsible for the deportations of 20 undocumented immigrants per week in Hennepin County. MIRAC also works to stop the implementation of Secure Communities in Minnesota.
Biography
Lisa, Christian and Sonia are volunteers who are part of the Minnesota Immigrants Rights Action Committee. MIRAC is a grassroots community organization that fights for legalization for undocumented workers in MN and putting an end to deportations.
