Human trafficking is a crime that affects the most vulnerable among our communities, including immigrant communities and those from Latin America. Come join us for a conversation about what human trafficking is, who it’s victims are, how it effects Minnesotans more than you might guess, and how to ‘look beneath the surface’ to identify or assist victims that you may know or meet yourself. Presenter Eric Gruen will share materials, resources, information, and ways to get further involved with this important issue. We hope you can join the conversation.
Biography:
Eric Gruen is a ‘Human Trafficking Outreach Specialist’ with La Conexión in Minneapolis. For the last two years he and La Conexión have participated in an education and outreach campaign to raise awareness about the topic of human trafficking.
